Welcome to Murchison Falls National Park

“The World’s Most Powerful Waterfall”

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s biggest nature reserve, measuring approximately 3,893 sqkm (1,503 sqmi). Together with the adjacent 748 sqkm (289 sqmi) Bugungu Wildlife Reserve and the 720 sqkm (280 sqmi) Karuma Wildlife Reserve, the park forms the Murchison Falls Conservation Area (MFCA).

The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile from east to west for a distance of about 115 kilometres (71 mi), as it makes its way through multiple rapids and waterfalls to Lake Albert. This makes it an exceptional place to see a variety of wildlife, a boat trip along the Nile, to see the powerful Murchison Falls up close – a simply unforgettable experience.
